In contrary to our society of globalization, over-information, speed and virtual reality, FUNNEL focuses on personalization, materiality, reflection and touch. From 24th street, a quote invites us to leave our thoughts on a chalkboard wall, leading us into an intricate funnel, cleansing and compressing us. Suddenly, we open to a deep lake of leaves surrounded by a series of experiences crafted within wood boxes. We first discover a gallery hosting the winning projects, which are lit with natural light from a strategic opening in the ceiling. A colonnade screens views and frames projects from the outside. Next, a dark filter teleports us into a forest of planted street signs. We turn around and find a narrow passage leading to a white wall. Its surface is rough and strange. So we touch it, and it reacts! This Polysensual Concrete emits sounds (heartbeats, whispers,...) and lights according to our magnetic field. Finally, we enter a dim room. A contrasting light, spilling over a mirror of water, pulls us forward. An inclined ceiling falls to 4’. We must bend and step into the water to experience a space that reflects the sky below our feet, and opens up toward the infinite.
